Tonsils
Published by martyn.jones June 5th, 2007 in MartynWell, folks, they’re out… And I can’t talk properly. In short, that was/is a serious amount of pain. So much so, I was on morphine! One minute I was awake, the next I was being woken up by a nurse saying, “Mr Jones”. It was quite possibly the best sleep I’ve ever had… The time, about an hour I think, felt as if it was snipped out of my life. A most strange experience…
The experience was made even more strange when, still high as a kite after the morphine, I was pushed past Shane Williams (Wales wing) who was also in bed going the opposite direction to me in the corridor. As if I were his best mate, I said, “Alright”.  To which he replied, “Alright” and then we were pushed past each other and it all goes a little vague again.
I could hardly sleep last night; kept on breathing through my mouth, which dried my throat out, and then I’d wake up in need of pain killers. Hope tonight is a bit better… The Doc reckons that this coming Friday/Saturday is going to be the worst with regards to pain… Can’t wait!!
You have my sympathy mate.
Had my tonsils out years ago, but still remember the pain.
They let me eat ice cream for a few days then had me on the Marmite toast.

Yes, hope you get better soon. My doctor told me sandpaper was quite good. Anyway, heres to a speedy recovery.
Thanks all. I’m still in pain but its a lot less than it was… thankfully! And the puss has started to lessen as well. I bet you really wanted to know that…!
Anyway, chose not to take any photos as, had I seen what was going to happen to the back of my throat prior to the operation, I would have told the surgeon where to shove his…
Anyway, I hope that I will be on top form shortly as I can’t wait to sink a few pints!

A very good question Mr H … and I’m sure that M will grace us all with some sort of answer real soon.
If not, I’m gonna gaffa-tape everything on his desk to the floor !! :p
All will become clear shortly. I’ve written the letter already and have put some fingers in pies… All private posts will then miraculously reappear!!

Even when someone leaves a lame comment on this own blog, which doesn’t really add anything to the greater scheme of things, after coming home shattered from travelling all day with three kids, and having a quick look at his blog and flickr before going to bed, only to find that some bloke has asked to use the photos relating to a company that he had already decided to quit.
Gut feeling, will tell you that the 28th would be a good date to pencil in the diary… The
in a plastic bag, the mirror, and the wireless flag will all be making an appearance.
I haven’t got a job yet, so my round shall remain outstanding if all remains equal!!
