It’ll never take off
Published by martyn.jones March 19th, 2007 in MartynHad the funniest of thoughts about work today.
What it we had Contract Managers and Team Managers?
The Contract Managers would manage about 20 contracts each - some big, some small, some old, some new. They ensure: the processes are up to scratch; the SDM expectations are managed; the GOS, pending, desk queues are all in check; the correct number of people are skilled etc. etc.
The Team Managers would manage about 10-15 analysts each - I haven’t worked out whether they’d be mixed Tech/Log and Pass team yet, but they would not be on the same contracts as such. They would ensure: the individuals perform their standard duties - turn up to work on time; take their breaks when they are supposed to; authorise leave etc.
Just a thought and of course… it’ll never take off…
Even though it would make my job any easier, or change the shift team layout, I love the idea …
Write it on the back of a old CLI and post it into the Ideas box (or door-holding-open-device) by the shift team !! :p
