Stayed up until 3am Wednesday morning getting ye olde CV up-to-date. 5am (ish) there was a flash of blue light, torrential down pourings and the biggest clap of thunder, and everyone in the house -probably the street- woke up! I then woke up with the kids at 7.30am.

I was due to start work at 9.30am and so was just about to leave when Iain called. After a few Qs, he asked whether he could submit my CV to his client. I said, “By all means”. He later sent a list of supporting evidence headings that he wanted me to flesh out and return ASAP. I spent lunch in the car drafting my supporting evidence and then went back in and emailed him saying there was no chance that I’d be able to get the supporting evidence to him by COB; it would be tonight at the earliest (I assure you, typing up supporting evidence for a job interview while sat in the same pod as the Co-ordinators and Operations Manager is not the best way to spend one’s time…) Iain later rang but reception must have been low so his voice mail came through later in the day. He asked me to call him back, so I did… with bated breath!

After an ickle chit-chat, he said, “Within half an hour of me sending them your CV they were on the phone asking for me to invite you to interview”. I asked whether he still needed my supporting evidence but he said, “No, I think that’s been bypassed on this occasion…”

And so it looks as if I have inadvertently landed myself an interview with the International Baccalaureate Organisation!! How cool is that?

Yes, Wednesday was a very good day. Hopefully Monday -interview day- will be up there with the best too!!! Fingers crossed eh!? Wish me luck…
