Gower time!

Shattered, I got up late.

Still bruised, I took it easy and took the family and Miki to the Gower.

We were aiming for Three Cliffs, but Miho said that the turning I said “Is that the one?” about was not the one and so we ended up in Oxwich…

Ben was in Rhossili and so, had I been feeling more energetic, we may well have crossed paths that day.

Martyn flying kite at Oxwich, Gower. Oxwich was cool though. We had a kite and a steady off shore breeze; much delight was taken when our kite ran out of string (i.e. was at its full extension) while all others bar one failed to even get above 7 foot off the ground.

After beating all the other dads on the beach, I was feeling peckish and got some fish and chips. It was quite literally the biggest cod in batter I had ever seen. MASSIVE! I had half and Mika and Ifan had quarter each. Miki and Miho weren’t hungry for some reason…

And then came the dodge ball. My bruises were forgotten at this point and I was shattered at the end of it. Excellent fun, fair play!

Mika, in the meantime, had filled her pockets full with sand. She emptied most of it out and then, with icecream in hand, we made haste to the car.

Mika sat down in the front passenger seat and sand poured out of her now horizontal pockets all over the seat. After the icecreams, Miho changed Meu’s nappy and the strangest of things happened….

Photo of Miho and Meu's feet at Oxwich, with poo on inside of car door. Miho was in the process of putting on the new nappy when Meu decided to have pee. This now ruined “new” nappy was removed while a new one was being sort. At this point, Meu was lying face up across Miho’s lap in the back of the car, legs pointing to the passenger side door… I was in the driver’s seat and turned around when I heard a juicy raspberry. As I turned, my eyes were greated with a sight I hope I never get to see again.

Photo of Meu's poo on inside of car door. Meu’s fart was a little more than a “fart”. She had sprayed the car door with poo! The bright yellow, curdled milk, stinky, new born baby kind of poo! Within an instant, Miho, Ifan, Mika and I all looked at each other in disbelief and then spontaneously burst into hysterics. That was the best laugh I’ve had in a long time. I grabbed my camera, took a few snaps as proof and then we tidied up the mess… I guess you had to be there! :-)
