Action stations!

Work at 09.00hrs. Phone call at 11.40hrs from Miho saying that possibly the contractions had started. 12.00hrs, a few more contractions confirmed, and I was out of there! Pumped with adrenalin, I started to shake. I was on a mission. If this was anything like Mika’s birth, Miho needed to be at the hospital ASAP.

I went home and Miho seemed not to be in a hurry. We eventually got to the hospital at about 13.45hrs. Stayed there for about 3 hours and then, contractions staying as they were, we went to McArthur Glen to see if we could shop til it dropped.

The contractions continued as they were and then, shattered after an expectant couple of hours, we went home. Miho and I had a sleep as we thought “tonight’s the night”. At about 22.00hrs the contractions were similar to the ones earlier in the day so we went to Tesco to see again if we could shop til it dropped.

Nothing happened so we went home to sleep. I had an awful night’s sleep, probably because I was waiting to get in the car and go to the hospital…
