I was feeling better by the morning and took the kids to the bus stop.
On returning home, I could still feel that I was cold (i.e. had a fever and so went to bed for a short nap).
That must have been at 9am. I woke again at 2pm. I picked the kids up [...]

The Virus from hell

I went to Halfords to get some TLC stuff for the car: oil filter, air filter and the like…
On returning, Miho had decided that we were going out for the morning… I was starting to feel somewhat worse for wear. But I soldiered on.
Miki looked after the kids, who were now full of beans, and [...]

The start of the Virus from hell

Ifan was sick in the morning and slept most of the day. I found out that he had fallen off a chair and hit his head on the dining room quarry-tile floor (next to diamond in the hardest-substances-known-to-man league) the night before. Oh! Joy of joys, concussion, hair line fractures, hematomas, the usual things sprang [...]

Grr…

Wales lost.

Hmm…

Friday?
I can’t remember Friday. I think I varnished the downstairs toilet, but I’m not entirely sure…?

Another day…

Yay! I am now the future proud owner of an Edo period, real life, probably killed lots of people, Katana - that’s a Samurai Sword to the uninitiated. Otousan bought it from an antiques dealer somewhere in Kyushu and has bequeathed it to me. I’d like to say “I can’t wait”, but that would be [...]

Damp Squib…

07.30hrs my dad calls. “Has anything happened with Miho?” he asks.
“No,” I reply. Still half asleep.
Miho now says the contractions are still there but weaker and further apart.
I’ve polyfillered the nail holes in the door frames, bathroom and downstairs toilet, applied for a Web design/developer job, and now she wants to go shopping [...]

Action stations!

Work at 09.00hrs. Phone call at 11.40hrs from Miho saying that possibly the contractions had started. 12.00hrs, a few more contractions confirmed, and I was out of there! Pumped with adrenalin, I started to shake. I was on a mission. If this was anything like Mika’s birth, Miho needed to be at the hospital ASAP.
I [...]

Bye Bye Abi!

Came in today. Abi’s desk is empty. Oh, so that’s another one on to pastures green then, I assume… Good luck to you, Abi, in all that you do!

Took the Zafira back at about 8.40hrs and then went to Halfords to get some TLC stuff for Miho’s car: oil, oil filter, oil flush thingy and some other stuff. Halfords was closed so I went home.
After a bit, Miho and I went to Cowbridge to see about getting some rings made. She was all [...]
