A day to remember/forget?
Published by martyn.jones January 26th, 2006 in MartynA “day off” it could have been described as… The events that followed were far from that alas!
Got up, saw the kids off to school, back home, Miho and I go to the hospital for a baby checkup…
We were there at 09.37 - I guess the fire in the heater at the front of the hospital didn’t help our cause - we eventually left at 11.32 and everything was fine… A very productive “day off” so far!
So then we went to AutoSparks to get a new battery. New battery got, £47.00 worse off, and then we went to Wick Van hire to hire a car…
Car hired, we dropped the 306 back at the house and made haste to Talbot Green. Miho paid in Ifan and Mika’s savings in their accounts while I ate some food in preparation for the journey ahead. Mika had about £50.00, Ifan had about £70.00. They’d done well.
Filled up with diesel and away we went… Heathrow bound. A great trip there and we didn’t have to wait too long to pick Otousan, Take, and Miki up. The journey back was plain sailing apart from coming out of London. An accident and much congestion, but patience saw us through and we were soon back over the bridge and the ban on Miho starting her contractions was lifted…
Got home don’t know what time, chilled for a bit and went to bed. Nice “day off” that was…
